Confirmed from Lick Creek Preserve Hiking and Bike Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Lick Creek Preserve Hiking and Bike Trail

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (26 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🌳 shaded & cool 3 mentions

“Very enjoyable single file trail, mostly wooded and in the shade!”

Very enjoyable single file trail, mostly wooded and in the shade! We didn’t have any issues with poison ivy. There is the occasional poison ivy in the woods, none on the trail. As far as I know, Virginia creeper don’t do anything anyway and we didn’t see much of that either.

★★★★☆ — Martin , Sep 2024

It's been raining so the trail is quite muddy but still was a pleasure to walk. We had the trail to ourselves for about 95% of the time we were out there. Loved every second of it, and made it to the bridge in time to watch the sunset.

★★★★★ — Kimberly , May 2024

Good spot for trail running. South of the bridge is +/- 1.5 mile loop. East-west trail is one mile point-to-point that butts up to bike trail.

★★★★★ — Brian , Sep 2024

Great energy here and good fishing. The biking trails are good theres easy ones and hard!

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
