Confirmed from Southern View Community Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Park and green space featuring playgrounds, baseball fields, and a pond.
What runners say about Southern View Community Park
“Every time I've been there, it has been clean, bikers have come through on the bike path, and people have been using different parts of the park.”
“Ants all over the floor of the canopy picnic area.”
“The walkway is beautifully maintained and makes for a perfect stroll, with just the right mix of open spaces and serene views.”
This is a nice community park. The paths are well kept and good for walking. There is a pond with geese and ducks. There are baseball diamonds, soccer fields, and a roller derby rink. Playground and a few covered picnic areas. I like going here. They keep the park well maintained overall.
It has a couple of ball fields, a playground, and an open soccer field for play football, soccer, or ultimate Frisbee. Every time I've been there, it has been clean, bikers have come through on the bike path, and people have been using different parts of the park.
2 little playgrounds, one for the younger kids and one for bigger kids though both were used by my 2 and 4 year olds. There's a nice little walking trail that goes around the park and passes a quaint pond. Very sunny with few trees for shade.
I'm not biased being a Southernview resident, I call it like I see it. Gem of a park tucked away in quite little corner. We walk our dog here and have rented a pavilion for parties multiple times. Great little park
