This is a beautiful trail. It's got twist and turns, hills, trees and oh the magnificent pine trees. It was such a lovely time as there were very few people on the trail and there are so many ways to go that we never ran into anyone. Not handicap accessible. Dog leashed friendly. Small parking lot that is free.
This place was recommended by a colleague as a local hiking place and wow!!! This is such a beautiful place, definitely worth checking out. Trails were well marked, plenty of benches along the route to sit and enjoy. I saw a few other people hiking and walking their doggos.
I wanted to give it 5 stars, but why is there literally no entrance sign for this place? It's on a very busy road, and I drove right past it. Not a great start for a first time visitor. Otherwise the visit was excellent! Trails are well signed, in good shape, wide with lots of blazes, would be a great winter visit!
Entrance on the main road is easy to miss, and the parking lot is small for about a dozen cars. Suggest taking a picture of the trail areas ahead of time. Trails have markers on them so you can stay along the trail or find your way back if it gets too dark.
