Confirmed from Lime Kiln Quarry's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Very well maintained hiking trails in the Lime Kiln quarry, with a few trail options. Some trails are more difficult than others, with steep sections featuring protruding roots and rocks to help keep your footing. There is a parking lot that fits about 8 cars and additional room for 2 cars on the roadside. Enjoy!
A lovely park in Chelmsford. Dog friendly. Small and easy hikes, with a parking lot right on rt 110 near the Westford line.
This place is a great place to hike. There are only 2 trails but they are not marked as clear as the could be. Doesnt matter though because both trails will lead you back to the park lot if you get on the other one by mistake.
Actually a great place to take the younger children. Blue trail can be done easily within 30 minutes, add 10 if you choose to add the green trail to the blue trail. Lots of different types of rocks and minerals and you can even walk into the quarry areas.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfaceNatural surface — easiest on the joints and the most fun, but expect roots, rocks and mud after rain
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadparking — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
