Confirmed from Lions Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Neighborhood park offering softball fields, a disc-golf course & access to an adjacent bike trail.
What runners say about Lions Park
“Park was really clean and plenty of shade to sit under and watch the games.”
I think this might be one of the best kept secrets of Altoona. It's right in the middle of town, yet seems very secluded and quiet. It's beautiful here. Bike path, disc golf, creek with cool old bridges, playground, and more. We love to explore around this sprawling park.
Nice place to run around or bike there is also a little creek that you can walk down into under a bridge at one end of the park you can also fish at the pond.
We go here because of the shelter rental. They have 2 parks and a Frisbee game thing. There's a trail and apartments around. They have a baseball or kickball place. The shelter has plenty of room to walk around. 10 tables and lots of chairs. It has a fridge and an oven. A place to pit your food down at.
Great place to play pokemon go, walk trails, take photos, have birthday parties and play disc golf
