Confirmed from Little Blue Trace - Hartman Heritage Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Scenic 17-mile park featuring biking paths and trails for running, hiking and walking.
What runners say about Little Blue Trace - Hartman Heritage Trailhead
“The park is always well kept up.”
“Beautiful residential trail in Independence, wonderful scenic oasis in the suburban jungle!”
“Love it for running, cycling & walking my dog!”
My favorite flat trail to run. It never disappoints in early morning or at dusk. God always rewards my run in nature with deer, owls, indigo bunting, great blue heron, brown thrashers, hawks, and or bats on this trail. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets!
Mostly an excellent family trail with tightly packed pea gravel. For beginners, ride into the headwind first as you don't want that on the 2nd half of your ride. Never overly busy, but also never completely empty.
this trail has become one of my favorite trails the views are absolutely breathtaking and such cool wildlife along the trip :)! Would recommend!
