Confirmed from Little Plover River Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Green space with playground equipment, baseball fields and tennis courts (some public).
What runners say about Little Plover River Park
Good little neighborhood park with ball fields, walking trails along the river, a pavilion with bathrooms. They also have one of last remaining lighted public tennis courts in the county which are always packed with tennis players. Most have been renovated into pickleball.
Great trails and view of the shorebirds and creatures that enjoy the little plover river that runs through this area. Nice set of hiking trails through pines and spagnum moss covered woods, and great for bird watching.
Nice park for everyone. Playground, ball park, tennis/pickleball court, well maintained walking trail. Little Plover River runs along the walking trail. Great for dog walking. Don't know why the village bull-dozed more trails, it's a small park, now there is less wooded area for the deer that live at the park.
Grew up in the neighborhood so this is my childhood park. It's a good park with lots of walking trails and a good tennis court. The playground could use an upgrade though because I don't think it's been updated in like 40 years.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
- At the trailheadrestrooms — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
