Confirmed from Little River Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Relaxed park featuring a play area, a river and a dam, plus picnic tables.
What runners say about Little River Park
“Very beautiful place to fish and observe water flowing over the rocks”
This is one of the most beautiful locations in North Carolina. The ruins of the dam are ready to explore with clear paths and rock outcroppings. You can see all of the details of the stone work and masonry up close. There are huge sand bars that were created in Hurricane Matthew that you can fish from.
I adore this little park. The kids love finding new spots to see the river running by. We walk the little trail and relax in the sandy spots by the water and watch water falling from the old dam .... so pretty.
What a calming little spot. Just came for a quick walk but will be back for a longer hike and picnic.
