Loved walking the trails at Loantaka Brook Reservation this Spring. We went on a Saturday afternoon and there was plenty of parking, handicap as well. The grounds, restrooms, playgrounds and trails were all well maintained.
An exceptional park with miles of trails and well-maintained, as are most Morris County-based parks. While the landscape could benefit from some cleanup of old fencing and unkempt brushes, overall I walked half the mileage and am eager to complete the rest at a later date.
This park has nice paved trails for biking, walking and jogging. The park has a small lake at the entrance with benches and small brooks along the trails. We went bike riding there during the weekend and the trails are very peaceful, quiet and scenic.
This is a great park that offers so many different activities. The paved path that goes through the woods is tremendous. Open fields, baseball field and bike paths to name a few features. I would highly recommend this park if you live in Morris County. An Annual 5k and Skeleton Run raises money for Childrens Hospital.
