Confirmed from Lockes Hill Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Popular mountain hiking area offering several marked trails past scenic lookout points, plus views of Lake Winnipesaukee.
What runners say about Lockes Hill Trailhead
“Great views of Lake Winnipesaukee from 2 different locations near the top from the Lakeview Trail.”
“Great introductory trail to the area, very well marked (look for blue paint on trees as you go).”
Beautiful hike with amazing views! I started out on the Lakeview Trail and linked up to the quarry trail on the way back to the parking lot. There definitely are some steep sections to be mindful of, but the overlooks are well worth it. I went on a Friday morning and the parking lot was pretty full.
Awesome hike! Took Quarry up and Lake view down. Lake view is steeper the way up, but you get to see the view quicker if you want to go that way. Either way pups loved it as well!
Nice set of trails to go up and down different ways. Very nice view near the top of the Lakeside Trail. I'd recommend taking the Quarry Trail up and down the Lakeside Trail.
A nice 1.8 mile hike with a 415 foot vertical elevation change which took a bit over an hour to complete including a few stops for pics. Challenging steady uphill climb either way you go (start on Lakeview Trail or Quarry Trail. They join at the top.
Trail conditions & character

“8 mile hike with a 415 foot vertical elevation change which took a bit over an hour to complete including a few stops for pics.”

“Very stony and lots of tree roots underfoot, so step carefully and walking poles are a great idea if you are not sure-footed.”
“A great loop trail that offers wonderful vistas without a strenuous hike to a high elevation, or day-long commitment.”
“Great introductory trail to the area, very well marked (look for blue paint on trees as you go).”
