Confirmed from Lone Lake Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
There are several walking trails through forested land & around the lake at this public city park.
What runners say about Lone Lake Park
“Beautiful park with native trees and plants in forest, prairie and fresh meadow around Lone Lake.”
Nice walking trail by the lake. Looks like good spots for picnics, get-togethers etc.
Great single track trail with surprising amounts of elevation. Lots of great views looking down on ribbons of dirt weaving through the woods. Good for the whole family
Quick! Get to Lone Lake Park to take in the most colorful Fall Leaves & trees in town. Nice couple of hills to get your heart pumping and to remind yourself to take the stairs. It was a chilly and overcast day but worth it.
Beautiful lake! We enjoyed walking the paths and out on the dock. The pickleball courts are nice and the kids enjoyed the playground.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfaceNatural surface — easiest on the joints and the most fun, but expect roots, rocks and mud after rain
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadwater — reported by runners
