Confirmed from Valley Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Peaceful, dog-friendly park, complete with a playground and basketball courts.

What runners say about Valley Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (161 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

Big grassy fields to run around, play baseball, throw around the football, whatever. Full size basketball court could use a little love, some cracks but not too bad. Good rims, not too loose. Park also has an ice rink and large playground.

★★★★☆ — Justin , Nov 2022

A lot to do and see garden, 9 mile creek, nature walk, voleyball, lacross, soccer, rugby, softball, fam reunions movies in the park, sledding ice skating, hockey, wiffleball. Lived on the park 3 years almost theres also been some shenanigans but where dont they happen.

★★★★☆ — Taylor , Oct 2018

It has a beautiful walk, a creek near but not too close to the park, a basketball court, there was a bathroom in not sure what the rest of the building was as I went early in the year. There are a few picnic tables and grills also, I'd come back again or with any or all of my kids (ages vary...)

★★★★☆ — Gina , May 2022

I was here for a cyclocross race. It has a nice mix of hills and flat areas, perfect for really any sport or just training sessions. Seems like a good place to picnic with its many scattered tables as well as a playground and bathrooms onsite. I have not explored the trails in the forest, but they seem nice.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
