Confirmed from Lone Mountain Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Lone Mountain Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (1,807 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 8 mentions

“‼️BATHROOM HAS NO DOORS‼️ Beautiful park✨ Lots of opened tables that don’t need reservations😉 Great pathway to ride bikes, scooters, skate board, skates, anything with wheels!”

🌳 shaded & cool 4 mentions

“There's also lots of area to walk as well as grass to sit under shaded trees and a trail along the mountain if you so choose.”

First, there are two main trails, but you will see several trails. You can park at the park near the equestrian area, or on the other side at the “trailhead”. The easy one, is the flat loop around the base of the mountain. It is wide and you could push a stroller on it.

Beautiful park by the mountains. We like to go for a walk or a hike or a climb up the mountains. It's fun. It's great to be outdoors. The view from the top is great. You can see the strip on the east side and different areas in the city on the other sides.

★★★★★ — Rosanna , Oct 2021

Good hike right in Las Vegas. Not a long hike to the top, but pretty steep in places. And an occasional scramble. In some places, the rock is slick or the gravel is loose, so wear appropriate shoes with good soles. It was cool and sunny when we did it, but can be brutally hot.

★★★★★ — Tim , Apr 2023

Nice park with several different options of trails from easy to moderate. Good view of "the strip" and most of the Las Vegas Valley. Can be pretty busy but everyone was polite and took turns passing through narrow areas. It is very dog friendly, we passed several dogs and brought our own girl (who loved it too).

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
