Confirmed from Loring Greenway's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
This functional city pedestrian path offers water features, public art, trees & a playground.
What runners say about Loring Greenway
“The flowers planted by the neighborhood community are so beautiful in the summer time.”
I walk this lovely Greenway every day. Volunteers keep the various gardens colorful and inviting. There are covered areas to sit, benches to rest, lovely planted water features and, at the west side, little tables and chairs under the trees.
Beautiful walk, jog or bike ride. It is a great way to cross from loring park to Nicollet. From there you got a left to Nicollet Mall and a right to Eat Street. There is a decent playground for the little ones near the middle of the greenway.
Perfect morning walk with the fountain and shade trees right after grabbing coffee and breakfast at Einstein Bagel that's only a 10 minute walk from there.
A beautiful reprieve from the hustle and bustle of Minneapolis downtown. The walk is quite peaceful and tranquil with a surrounding beauty of the vegetation. Many places to sit and relax. I even noticed a playground and a couple of little free libraries nearby.

- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
