Confirmed from Lower Huron Metropark's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Nice place for a hike. I did the Woods Creek rustic trail, which was easy and indeed fairly rustic compared to other trails in the area. It's all dirt, mud, and roots, so wear some decent footwear.

The new cosmic playground is just amazing. So many different elements for kids of all ages. Together with Turtle Cove and nature trails - you can spend a great family day here

A huge place filled with greenery complimented by a beautiful river thats perfect for kayaking/ canoeing or tubing. Miles and miles of trail for biking / walking. There is a water park with limited but decent rides / slides, a children play area, tennis courts and barbecue grills.

★★★★★ — Ravi , Jun 2026

A huge park with a wide variety of activities. You will enjoy the numerous nature trails, fishing, camping, a water park and wildlife. You can purchase a yearly pass at the park office, or pay 10 dollars for the day. They have senior discounts and veterans discounts.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
