We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Mabel Fentress Miller Walking Trail yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (98 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 4 mentions

“Get hot and sweaty, no problem as you are at Virginia Key Beach and can take a swim if the water is clean.”

🏞️ beautiful scenery 6 mentions

“We spent about a hour and half enjoying the beautiful sunrise in perfect weather.”

🌾 quiet & peaceful 3 mentions

“This is what is known as Virginia Beach on Key Biscayne, nice little beach extremely quiet with public restrooms and tables for picnic + little tiki huts.”

A nice area of walking trails wending through an endangered coastal hammock. Best traveled on a breezy day. If no breeze, you will get eaten alive by mosquitos and no seeums. Get hot and sweaty, no problem as you are at Virginia Key Beach and can take a swim if the water is clean.

1.1 mile trail loop. Very pretty shaded tree lined walk, with nature chart at the start to point out plants along the trail. Soft sandy trail at parts, and along the ocean beach.

What an amazing place for a walk or to watch the sunrise. This is quite a lively place early in the morning as scores of cyclists, canoes and paddle boarders descend on this spectacular place to enjoy nature. We spent about a hour and half enjoying the beautiful sunrise in perfect weather.

Great service, awesome employees, and even a electric wheelchair with tracks, at no additional cost, for my disabled grandmother. Trail is clean and relaxing. If you need the electric wheelchair you might want to call before reaching here to make sure it's available as they only have 1. Or at least I only saw the 1.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
