Confirmed from Bear Cut Preserve's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Love ❤️ love 💕 love 💗 this nature trail. First make sure to wear a hat 🧢 bring water 💦 and mosquito repellent is a must. I always park across the street at the marina but it depends who’s there 👀 walk across street and enter bear cut preserve, make a right. So much to see, there’s shade soso.

Picturesque trail, very enjoyable with plenty of wildlife. Be sure to bring plenty of mosquito spray! They can be a nightmare.

★★★★★ — Cez , Dec 2025

A beautiful walk in one of the last natural hammocks close to Miami. You will find stonecrabs around here ;)

★★★★☆ — Giacomo , Jun 2017

It's a great place for a quiet walk. Not too many bicyclists and plenty of room. Not a lot to see unless you venture to the beaches

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🏞️ Scenic views 11 mentions

“Cute little trail, too bad we can't really enjoy the view of the ocean while we walk but the boardwalk and reef view in the end is nice.”
