Confirmed from Marcella Vivrette Smith Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Marcella Vivrette Smith Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (674 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 8 mentions

“Well-maintained, historic home and grounds and likely the 'best kept secret' Park in Williamson County.”

🏞️ beautiful scenery 12 mentions

“) Today my pup and I took the morning to explore all the trails and oh be still my heart- it was GORGEOUS.”

My son and I hiked the black trail. There are 4 trails and they vary in difficulty and length. The green begins in another area. There is plenty of parking, a public water fountain and bathroom. The trail we walked was 2 miles. There was a little mud from rain we got yesterday but it wasn't bad.

I can’t believe it’s taken me 3 years to actually hike through the trails here!!! (I honestly didn’t expect trails in the middle of housing developments to be so wonderful. Woops!) Today my pup and I took the morning to explore all the trails and oh be still my heart- it was GORGEOUS.

After spending hundreds of hours on the trails in this park, I can safely say that this has become my favorite place to be. If you time it right, you can hike/walk for hours without seeing a soul. Tons of wildlife, flowers, scents, and the natural beauty is fantastic!

This is a city park with suburban charm. Very well maintained trails with light traffic than Warner Park in Nashville. Many wild flowers and plants along the trails. The restroom at trailhead is flushed with clean water. There is a wash station near the parking lot for washing off muddy boots.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
