Confirmed from Margaret Azevedo Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Margaret Azevedo Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (289 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🌳 shaded & cool 3 mentions

“There is also no shade on the fields, so when it is sunny playing can be brutal.”

👟 good for all levels 2 mentions

“Great park for kids of all ages!”

This place is just great for all ages, it has 1 play structure for little kids and and giant one for grown ups, the soccer fields may not be in the best condition but they are good to play and do some training. One of the best things is that it has a long trail where you can jog or bike around it.

★★★★★ — Charlie , May 2018

Two large grass soccer fields, clay infield baseball diamond, covered picnic tables, a large kids play structure, with a 2/3 mile paved walking loop, plenty of parking, and restrooms. A sign says there is free wi-fi at the park too. The paved loop has fitness stations spaced around the path.

★★★★☆ — Jey , May 2018

This is a great park if you have kids of multiple ages. There is a small but really fun play structure for toddlers, & a HUGE structure for the bigger kids with a great seat that can be spun around by adults. Great lawns, baseball field, walking trails & overlooks a soccer field.

★★★★★ — Jen , Nov 2013

Expansive park with 2 different sized play grounds, baseball fields, soccer fields, a good place to walk your dog or hang out with friends/family when it's nice out. Does have a shade structure will grills.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🚻 Restrooms 7 mentions

“The plus of this place is that it has restrooms which is something most of the parks in Roseville lack on.”

Plan your run at Margaret Azevedo Park

The practical stuff

  • AccessDawn to dusk — the gates close, so do not plan a run that finishes after dark
  • SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
  • At the trailheadparking, restrooms, water — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
  • Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
