Confirmed from Ruhkala Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

“If you have a dog that loves to run, I highly recommend checking out Ruhkala Park after dark!”

Easily 5 stars. I've been there about 30 times and have had a great time every time. I'm personally a big fan of walking and with the extremely long paths at this park that is possible. They also have a basketball court as well as a sand Volleyball court.

Ruhkala Park: A Midnight Playground for Pups! Ruhkala Park was surprisingly empty when we visited at night, which was perfect for letting my dog run free and go crazy with the zoomies! He had an absolute blast sprinting around the open field and exploring all the different smells without a leash.

Fabulous park..it's big with a trail around it; had a volleyball court, a basketball court, small play structures for kids..it's lovely and serene

The park has a beach volleyball court, full basketball court, and playground. There's also a multi-use grass field. There are covered picnic tables and BBQ grills. There are no restrooms, but there is a drinking fountain for humans and dogs.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
