Confirmed from Maritime Hammock Preserve's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Park featuring a stormwater pond, dog walking, picnicking, bird watching & walking trails.
What runners say about Maritime Hammock Preserve

We had a lot of fun exploring these trails. Seems dog friendly- they are well maintained grass trails with the exception of a bridge and pavilion overlooking the water. None of them are particularly long trails but they’re perfect for little ones to wander and older folks to navigate as well.
Small pocket park, just N of downtown Cocoa Beach. A few meandering walking trails, a short bridge over a small hammock pond, a few picnic tables, a swing, and a thatch-roof pavilion make for a nice (short) break from the beach.
Nice quiet small Nature Preserve, able to walk through in about 10 minutes. We spent an hour or so
Nice park. Lots of short walk paths with a small pond and a gazebo. Very peaceful

“I’m not sure where you’re supposed to park, but if you park at the back of the Denny’s parking lot towards left-hand side you’ll see a trail head which quickly leads to the bridge”

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfaceBoardwalk — flat and scenic, and slick when wet, so watch your footing
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadparking — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
