Confirmed from Cherie Down Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
This 7-acre beach park features a 200-ft. boardwalk along sand dunes, plus picnic shelters.
What runners say about Cherie Down Park
“The park was clean, simple snd provided a good spot away from thr "tourists" area like Coco Beach.”
“Overall, it’s a beautiful, stress-free beach that works wonderfully for both relaxing visits and professional photography.”
Nice big beach. Kind of unexpected until I saw it. There are restrooms facilities in the parking lot. Nice boardwalk leading to a large area beach. Lots of sand area to enjoy. Great place to take a long walk on the beach but who actually takes long walks on the beach. What happens when you go too far.
Great out of the way place to watch the sunrise, or take a walk on the beach with limited parking. A quick walk from this park, over wooden steps brings you to a very nice beach and a quiet place to enjoy it. Unfortunately it was cloudy today with some rain, but we still did get some great photographs.
The parking is complimentary, there are bathrooms. Lots of parking. Short walk to the beach. We enjoyed watching several vessels come and go from the port while waiting for an afternoon rocket launch! The same was soft and dry.
Cherie Down Park is one of my favorite beaches in Brevard for photo sessions. As a photographer, I love how easy it is to access. There’s free parking, a short boardwalk to the sand, and it’s a very quick walk from the car to the water, which is great when carrying gear.
Trail conditions & character
“Easy access, parking lot, restroom building, handicap accessible ramps to beach, covered pavilion with a grill, shower but it’s out of order at the time of this review.”
