Confirmed from Markey Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Park boasting a range of play areas, plus a 1.3-mile loop trail and another walking trail.
What runners say about Markey Park
“Apart from some dog walkers not cleaning up after themselves on occasion, the park is very well maintained.”
“The Greenjackets field is always gorgeous at sunset!”
Beautiful park with a nice walking trail! Clean porta pottys are always a plus
I love this little park. It is pretty unremarkable, but I am so thankful for it's walking trail. Apart from some dog walkers not cleaning up after themselves on occasion, the park is very well maintained.
I love that this is basically a 1.3 mile loop with a small spur if you want to go a bit further. It is paved. Mostly open with a short but pretty wooded section. At the first parking lot there are porta potties with dog Bag dispensers at three locations along the trail. The park has a nice pavilion with picnic tables.
My son really enjoys going here. The playground was just redone and lots of new playground equipment has been added. There is a walking trail that is quiet and nice to walk or jog on. The blacktop is smooth so riding a bike is also nice.
