We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Markham Park Nature Trail yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Markham Park Nature Trail

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (24 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 3 mentions

“First time in years and the park has changed really beautiful.”

This is where I come to fall in love with life. The slash pines keep the trail cool year-round so you’re not overheating. There’s plenty of places to climb about if you’re like me and can’t walk a straight line.

★★★★★ — Ivan , Sep 2022

Markham Park in Weston They have trails for walking, trails for mountain bikes that are extreme, trails for bikes that are easy and for just chilling, a dog park, an area to fly your drones, disc golf, a camp ground, or you can simply chill and do picnic.

★★★★★ — Daniel , Jan 2023

Is not a very long trail but it has plenty of bunnies and kids love them.

★★★★★ — Eduardo , Aug 2020

Love this place! Nice trail. Saw iguanas, pileated woodpeckers. Relaxing and quiet. Entrance is difficult to locate, needs better signage!!

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🏞️ Scenic views 4 mentions

“One time I sat on the dock pondering life when a lovely dog calmly sauntered up and sat beside me, enjoying the view with me and accepting lots of pets before it kept going.”
