Small gift shop and a great little museum with some rescue animals in it. There is tons of historical information about the marsh and surrounding areas. Some nice little hiking trails and a lookout tower.
Easy loops of trail with either meadow or wetland views. Peaceful areas to sit and watch the birds.
Lovely spot to stop during the birding festival. Enjoyed the nest box hike. The merganser mom and babies were awesome. Staff very helpful. Nice feeder area and prairie landscape to catch pictures of migrators. The courting and calls of the doves was hilarious. Found some goodies in the store.
This is a midway point between my home and my moms home. We've met here 2 or 3 times and still haven't seen everything lol. The first time we went for a reptile workshop/ presentation everyone LOVED it (this was before covid19). The trails are very well maintained.
