Confirmed from Mary Moore Searight Metropolitan Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Over 300 acres of land with facilities for hiking, horseback riding, grilling, disc golf & more.
What runners say about Mary Moore Searight Metropolitan Park
“It doesn't feel overcrowded the trails are gorgeous with clear running water.”
Walked the trail to scout out for a bike ride. Was a bit muddy but had a nice creek and a creek crossing as well as a few drops to challenge me a bit. Will bring my bike next week if it ever stops raining and try it out. Numerous people walking dogs and a group using the group area cooking.
I go for walks here at least once a week. There is the main trail that does a loop around the park, and which also contains little exercise bars along the way which is quite nice. They have both a soccer field as well as a baseball diamond with a tall fence. Also a great place to bring your pets.
Really under rated park in my opinion. There are really great trails interwoven between the creeks. There are grills and shaded recreation areas. There is even a disc golf course! Nice place to beat the crowds but still experience an Austin park. Might be a bit out of the way for most visitors.
Mary Moore Searight Park is heaven sent for those living in South Austin needing a break from the ever consuming I-35 expansion. Featuring tennis courts, a soccer field, and copies different trails to branch off of; this park/trail is one of our favorite in Austin.
Trail conditions & character
“A very family friendly trail (bathrooms at the trailhead for little kids), it is important to get there at a good time as even with a spacious parking lot it can fill up fast.”

“There's a track of paved trail that makes a loop about 1 1/4 mile long, it's back from the park itself and you have to take one of the trails to get there.”
