Confirmed from Mary Vagle Nature Center's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Nature center with exhibits on local natural history, plus native plant gardens, a pond & trails.

This park has a special place in my heart. I came from Central America in 2004 and this place reminded me of home. I go here frequently! Bring a friend and enjoy the wildlife, study, or go on a hike!
Great hike! Avoid hot days. There is limited shade. I love the rock. Itll be good practice for the kiddos scrambling and even some boulder programs.
Great hike for all ages. My 7 year old enjoyed it just as much as my 19 year old. Different trails to get to the top. It's a great work out
My husband and I go at sunrise to look at beautiful scenery up the mountain behind Mary Vagle NC. There are good trails all around there, offering a good hike workout and beautiful nature scenery. No outdoor restrooms though. Also easy parking and easy to find using GoogleMaps.
