Great walking trails although it was pretty buggy when I went. A few trails go along the river which was nice to hear the flowing water as you walked. There was a nice wooden walkway around one of the vernal pools. It was a peaceful walk through the woods.
Joseph and I participated in the Arcadia Quabbin walk with John Green. He’s a great guy, enthusiastic and a wonderful conversationalist. He is a naturalist who loves what he does. Whenever we are looking at Arcadia programs we always look for programs that John leads. It was a cloudy evening and we walked the dike.
Nice small wildlife sanctuary. Easy walks across the woods. We didn't see and animals, just a number of birds.
Hello all I visited the Massachusetts Audubon Society Arcadia Sanctuary for the first time today. I very much enjoyed my walk out to visit the observation tower while I was there. This Sanctuary is a precious little gem of nature found just south of the historic Connecticut River Oxbow near Hadley Massachusetts.
