A beautiful reservation with lots of trails and hidden gems to explore. I did not get to explore the entire reservation this time around but will definitely be back! I have now visited again in the winter and explored most of the sanctuary. It is possibly now my favorite place in Massachusetts.
Very nice place for a walk with lots of crisscrossing trails through varied habitat. There's a rickety observation tower and trails for a short walk or lengthy hike. There's woods, wetlands and meadows all coming together so you can see a great variety of wildlife.
Tons of trails (12 miles!) through woods and wetland. Lots of opportunities for bird watching. Easy-going trails with benches scattered about and an observation tower, featuring a great view over a swamp. 7 dollar fee for non-members - definitely worth it!
Audubon's Ipswich River is a fantastic nature preserve! It's full of wonderful trails and very interesting geologic formations that you can observe. If you know what to look for!
