Dogs are allowed on this trail in W. Boylston but not in Holden. The dog boundary is the I-190 overhead pass. The Quinapoxet River is part of the Wachusett watershed. W. Boylston town owns the RT land; the rest of the RT in this segment in Holden is owned by the. MDC (protects water supply).
Quite nature walk very clean and calm. You can walk with sound of water and birds really makes you fresh

A 1938 Hurricane took out several bridges on the 104 mile long Central Mass Railroad, eventually ending service on the line. The silver lining from the storm however is this excellent rail trail we enjoy today, with a number of really great completed sections, and more to come.
