Confirmed from McCall Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about McCall Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (153 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 5 mentions

“So clean beautiful and something for the whole family to do including your 4 legged family members.”

🌳 shaded & cool 4 mentions

“No shade, except under the pavilion, hence, only 4 stars.”

👟 good for all levels 2 mentions

“Has different obstacles and slides for all ages and my son always has a good time with the many people that go on the weekends”

My daughter and I never realized this was a Park until they built the Dollar General across the street. We saw the Playground and started going there. Soon after they tore the playground down (which is under construction for a new one).

★★★★★ — Amanda , Jul 2022

We love this park but it can be understandably busy, our daughter is a couple months shy of turning 2 and doesn’t have any interest in the big play structure but she liked the little structure where she saw other children running their Pinecone business.

Our first time to this park. Took a couple neighbor kids. They love it. Got busy after school. No shade, except under the pavilion, hence, only 4 stars. Short walking path around a small pond. Clean. Baseball field, basketball court, dog park, too. Nice little park... just no shade.

★★★★☆ — Cyn , Feb 2025

great little park. the playground is updated and great for kids of all ages. There's a basketball court, picnic area, baseball/kickball field, dog park, walking path, and a little pond.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🐕 Dog-friendly 7 mentions

“from a track to exercise that goes all the way around the whole park, basketball, soccer a dog park a picnic area, and a fantastic playground for the kids.”
