Confirmed from McFarland Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Waterfront city park with campsites, a beach area, fishing piers, ball fields & floating restaurant.

A Marine Park, a very beautiful view of the Tennessee River, needs to improve public service , and there's a dock. ( One more thing, this river runs between three states, Alabama, Mississippi, and Tennessee).
Such a nice city park. Lots to offer here, boating, fishing, walking, camping. The campground is busy and fills up. Some sites with water & cliffs view with full hookups. Beautiful views! Playground for children.
Great outdoor recreation area on the Tennessee River. Plenty of room for parking and a picnic, with quite a few people seen fishing from the bank. Terrain was nice for a good walk by the river. Enjoyed seeing a little family of geese during our visit.

The practical stuff
- AccessHours vary — hours are not posted for this trail, so check before an early or late run
- SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
- Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
