Confirmed from McKinley Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Relaxing preserve featuring a rose garden, seasonal pool, playgrounds, tennis courts & trails.

“This park is perfect for spending time reading in the shade, gathering with friends, letting your kids run around or whatever!”
“A very nice park providing place for activities like football and tennis and swimming and a place for quiet contemplation.”
“The playground is Amazing , the modernized "merry go round" is fun for all ages.”
Beautiful park. It's got a walking / jogging path around the perimeter. The entire loop, including the section where the garden club is housed is one mile. New bathrooms, picnic facilities and playground make it a great place for picnics and play dates. Plenty of space for games or getting away from folks.
I absolutely love McKinley park! It's a huge park full of different areas for anyone! The park includes a tennis court, covered benches/tables, uncovered benches/tables, lots of grass area, a soccer area (no nets), giant pond home to the ducks and geese, big beautiful trees, a public pool, playground, and the library.
This park features a scenic pond, walking paths, tennis courts, a rose garden, a small redwood grove, numerous picnic areas, a public pool, soccer field, large horseshoe game area, a community building with library, and a very cool children's playground.
I forgot how wonderful this park is. Old growth trees give tons of shade all over. Families are spread out having picnics all over. Plenty of room. The geese, ducks and birds wonder around happily living life. Children laughing in the playground. People jogging and walking. Just lovely.
