Confirmed from Sutter's Landing Regional Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Leafy park for recreation plus a dog park, bocce ball, basketball court, skate park & bike trails.
What runners say about Sutter's Landing Regional Park
“5 stars for cleanliness, and access to clean swimmable water.”
“The riverside part of this park is beautiful.”
“You can walk on the pave/gravel trail or you can go closer to the river and be in the tree canopy.”
5 stars for cleanliness, and access to clean swimmable water. Nice short hike to the water and cool skate park in the same parking lot!
Nice little shoreline beach with easy access to the river. There are also some recreational trails, some paved, some dirt in the vegetation along the river. I'd say the paved path and the river access are the main draws here Even on a warm Sunday, the crowds at the river weren't too overwhelming and everyone was…
Free entrance to a beautiful river spot. There's also a dog park and a skatepark right next to the river. The American River Bike Trail also cuts through and goes over the levee.
This is a great fenced in and large dog park. There is separate areas for large dogs and small dogs. Seems like a great community spot with plenty of nice dogs. Also near some river walking trails and skate park.
Trail conditions & character
“Great open park with both large and small dog areas, great people who care for their animals who seem to be building a supportive dog centric community”
“You can walk on the pave/gravel trail or you can go closer to the river and be in the tree canopy.”
“We parked at the dog park nearby and walked in, but there are closer parking areas that you might want to check out.”
“There are also some recreational trails, some paved, some dirt in the vegetation along the river.”
“I rated 4 instead of 5 because I was worried the gravel would be hard on my dogs feet, grass would be better.”
