Confirmed from McTavish-Woodridge Open Space Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about McTavish-Woodridge Open Space Trail

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (28 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

This is a nice trail. I can't give 5 stars because the road nose is very loud for half the trail, and it's not clearly marked, so if you aren't paying attention, you get the smaller internal loop instead of the whole thing.

★★★★☆ — Danny , Oct 2020

Nice place to go for a quick hike. Wide trails in good condition. Fairly steep and treacherous in places. Have to keep a close eye on small children. We enjoy looking for and picking the salmon berries.

★★★★☆ — Michael , Jul 2020

A mile-long trail along the lake-hill parkway. A great place to explore nature. You could also go to the other side of lake-hill parkway for Kelsey farm area...

★★★★★ — Hanchuan , Sep 2016

This is a really nice hidden oasis in Bellevue. It's all old mature forest with well maintained trails. It also has ups and downs, it' s not all flat. Our kids like when we take them here for a short hike.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

“But, it's beautiful in there, and the change of elevation pushes you a bit so you feel like you got a good walk in.”
