Confirmed from Meadowbrook Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Meadowbrook Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (290 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 4 mentions

“Usually there's plastic bags at the trail heads if you forget some to clean up after your pet.”

I've been coming here since I was a kid and it's just as fun for my kids as it was for me. They've maintained and upgraded the playground. Last year, the green slide was boarded up, but it's back open this year. The trails are serviced regularly and I've enjoyed walking my dogs many times.

Excellent place to check out all through out the year. Walking trails, sled hill, playground make it fun for everyone. In the summer we play baseball in the fields and go for nightly walks. My favorite part is the rental spaces. We used park for a few events now and are never disappointed.

I love to go biking or rollerblading at Meadowbrook. Their paved path goes through the woods along a windy creek and is beautiful. It's not too long so it doesn't take much time to do the entire loop. They also have a nice playground and shelter with picnic tables.

★★★★★ — Dennis , Aug 2020

Love the sledding hill in the winter. The village is finally doing more to the trails too that we as kids kind of made in the woods 30 years a go. I walk or bike them quite frequently in the summers. Kids love being in the woods

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

⛰️ Hills / elevation 9 mentions

“Pickle ball, basketball, playground, baseball field, walking trails and even a sledding hill hidden in the back during the winter.”

The practical stuff

  • AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
  • SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
  • LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
  • At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
