Beautiful little secluded park to take a short stroll and watch all the wildlife! No dogs allowed, which was great! Didn't see anyone else there either. We did see muscrats, monarchs, turtles, mallards, great egrets, pelicans, killdeer, and grebes though!
You can do a little or a lot here! Maybe it's photography or a good nature walk. You can also fish and hunt waterfowl during the right season. Only thing that may keep you away is that there are no dogs allowed in the nature area.
A hidden gem! This nature area is a beautiful sanctuary for migrating birds of all kinds. The majority of it is a pocket of wetland so bugs are heavy. You also get the beauty of the lake as it bumps up against the preservation area. Absolutely stunning to walk the path/barrier wall and see all the life.
Nice place to take a relatively quick walk. The kids loved seeing the turtles and ducks in the area and I loved letting them get out some steam by running around. There were two paths, we took the bigger, more tread on path with our wagon and went as far as was accessible by wagon.
