We had walked the lower trail up from the river and it was wonderful. We tried the upper part and it was a little less strenuous. The trail winds through old farm fields turning back to thickets and cedar trees. It's amazing how remote you feel while walking or riding.
It is a great spot to see a variety of flowers and birds. If you've ever biked it you also know the skill needed to traverse the steep incline. It's truly a great connecting trail between the Franklin, miamisburg and springboro areas.
This is my favorite bike ride from Medlar to Middletown with a stop for coffee at Triple moon. The air is so fragrant from the wild flowers on the Medlar trail.
I love doing hill repeats up this path because th corners are technical and you can get better at cornering and braking. And the views from meadow s, to tree cover to popping out to an open winding downhill section is fun and never gets old.
