Confirmed from Memorial Park Hike and Bike Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Wooded locale with several trails for hiking, biking, and walking amid oaks, pines, and cypress trees.
What runners say about Memorial Park Hike and Bike Trailhead
“This well-maintained and expansive trail system is perfect for anyone looking to escape the hustle and bustle of city life.”
“The lush greenery, peaceful surroundings, and shaded pathways make it a refreshing and enjoyable experience, even during Houston's warmer months.”
Great little green space to get out, easy to get mixed up in the network of trails but easy to find your way, made for a nice 10k trail run after work. And free parking was a nice surprise
I like the trails here. Some trails are in a lightly wooded area and good for hiking and biking (Green Ridge Trail). You will encounter a few steep jumps (about 2 feet) and a lot of mature roots all across the paths. So a moderate trail for beginner bikers and an easy one for regular hikers.
I have biked these trails for more than 25 years. They are a mix of trail and single track with some surprisingly technical sections. The big, tough climbs from the 90s are gone but it still a good workout. I strongly recommend keeping kids off the single track and always wear a helmet.
Many miles of nature trails. I'm so happy that they are now open to the public. Parking in Picnic Ln parking lots.
