Confirmed from Menomonee Dog Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Dog-friendly park with fenced areas for large and small breeds, plus swimming and trails.
What runners say about Menomonee Dog Park
“100% fenced with certified husky-proof fences (they go all the way to the ground, angle inward to discourage jumpers, and are very well-maintained).”
“There's plenty of shade because of the big trees and even when walking the path there's quite a bit of shade.”
“The common section includes a public restroom, a dog watering station and shorter walking trails.”
Love this park, we live close by & go every single day. My only problem is some of the people that come there: for one why do I see so many dogs on leashes with owners who say “keep your dog away from my dog” like what are you doing here? You’re at a dog park.
Very well maintained, gates to take leashes off, lots of land to walk around, dog beach is smaller but a nice area for dogs to cool off. Recommend!! :)
If your dog likes to roam, this is the perfect park! 100% fenced with certified husky-proof fences (they go all the way to the ground, angle inward to discourage jumpers, and are very well-maintained). Separate big and small dog parks, and now the side with bathrooms and drinking water is "all breeds" which is nice.
One of the best parks in SE WI. Huge separate small and large dog park areas with trails. Dog swim area as well. Beautiful and clean.
Trail conditions & character
“Some fun loops, and I especially like the have separate entrance and exit booths for dogs, so dogs leaving don't interfere with dogs entering.”
“Separate big and small dog parks, and now the side with bathrooms and drinking water is "all breeds" which is nice.”
“There's plenty of shade because of the big trees and even when walking the path there's quite a bit of shade.”
“Other than excessive mud after rain, and some rocky terrain, the entire park is very well kept up.”

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfaceNatural surface — easiest on the joints and the most fun, but expect roots, rocks and mud after rain
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
- At the trailheadrestrooms — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
