Confirmed from Miami Erie Canal & Bike/ Walk Path's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Casual hiking route alongside a scenic canal that draws walkers and cyclists for outdoor recreation.
What runners say about Miami Erie Canal & Bike/ Walk Path
“The path is a beautiful piece of canal history and St.”
“An easy trail to walk, run and ride bicycles.”
Wonderful trail with lots of nature! Turtles, cranes, snakes in the water, deer, fish, and even an occasional horseback rider have all been seen there - plus more! An easy trail to walk, run and ride bicycles. There's even a splash pad for small children at the beginning of the trail! Take the trail over to K.C.
Such a hidden gem. Its absolutely amazing to hike. I havent exerienced nature like this in a long time. Turtles like crazy. Snakes. Ive seen deer on the path, ground hogs, beavers, mice, cardinals bee swarms. Very relaxing and great exercise when you go to the 40 acre pond and back.
Historic Miami-Erie canal, the always scenic St. Mary’s river, the wildlife and beauty (especially in the summer and fall) of the also historic 40 acre pond and the extremely easy-to-walk on path due to the fact it’s had god knows how many thousands of mules packing the trail down over time as well as very good…
Nice paved trail that ends at the highway. Dirt/grassy path from there on.
