Confirmed from Michael V. Lewis Arboretum and Parrott Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

“It is incredible how close to the road it is but when you start walking the trail you are immersed in nature and can't hear the cars, such a beautiful place!”

🌳 shaded & cool 3 mentions

“I didn't have time to see all the trails, but the ones walked were shaded except for the entry trail.”

Great hiking spot! I really enjoyed my stroll. Had to look up where to park, apparently you can just park in the grass next to the entrance which is nice. Highly Recommend!

Nice place to wander and hike. Wish the trails were better marked though. Half the time I didn’t know if I was on a trail or just wandering in the woods.

Just discovered this hidden gem this morning. I stayed for an hour. So many different hidden trails. Ended up having to bust a U-turn, cause I wasn’t sure if it would loop back around! Incredible find. Leave only footprints 🤟

★★★★★ — Taylor , Dec 2023

I go with my dog at least once a month, the trail is very nice and simple. Might be lucky enough to see snakes. Definitely a bit hard to find since it’ll be on your right if you’re driving forward from Overlook Dr. If you’re driving back on the right lane, it’ll be on your left.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
