Confirmed from Midlothian Community Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Midlothian Community Park
“I would say the playground is for ages 5 and up and they should be well coordinated… the bathroom is near the playground and is very clean.”
“Wonderful playground for kiddos with several areas designed to accommodate all ages.”
This park came recommended so we decided to try it. It is a little more advanced than any playground we’ve visited. I would say the playground is for ages 5 and up and they should be well coordinated… the bathroom is near the playground and is very clean.
I’ve got to hand it to Midlothian, they know how to build a community park 👏. This park is equipped with everything the community would need and want. Let me break it down: 3 playgrounds 1 splash pad 1 tennis court 2 half basketball courts 4 volleyball courts 5 baseball fields?
Great park! Very well maintained! Great walking trails, splash pad, and every sport is represented here! Great accessibility in the restrooms and the entire park! Great job Midlo!
Great playground and splash pad with plenty of parking and a nice walking path.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms, water — reported by runners
