Confirmed from Midlothian Meadows' own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Sprawling woodland preserve offers various hiking & biking trails & paved paths, plus picnic areas.
What runners say about Midlothian Meadows
“Beautiful trail but I recommend walking with a friend or a pet.”
“Peaceful and quiet space to walk, read, bike ride, jog or just relax.”
Lovely place to go on a walk or run! I used to come here everyday and I'm going to start again. The main trail is a big circle for about 2.5 miles with some inclines and declines so it's great exercise for someone who wants to see some nature and take a break from the gym.
A good 3 mile loop with changing scenery. The only downside is you can always hear the cars driving by at certain spots on the trail. Paved paths. No changing slopes. Plenty of parking.
Well, it's certainly a meadow. Very flat and open tall grassy fields if you journey off paths. I visited late winter. Very clean. Lots of moss if you're a moss lover.
Very nice trail loop with pathways into the trees. Well, kept and marked with trail markers. Nice parking area as well. Good for midday lunch walks.
