Confirmed from Oak Forest Heritage Preserve's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
A 176.3-acre woodland conservation area steeped in Native American heritage with a 1.7-mile trail.

Great place to go biking, walking and or running! Be ready to take your camera out and see large herds of dear all over the park. I must have seen 40 or 50 deer the one time as was there! Will surely be coming buck again. Pun intended. 😊
Beautiful place 😍 you can walk. You can relax and you can have a picnic.
2.5 mile walk on a paved path. You can start from several locations, but I like to start by the pond at the shuttered Oak Forest Hospital. Lots of wildflowers and some denser woods. You pass through the old Potter's Field. It was the graveyard for the Poor Farm and Cook County.
