Confirmed from Military Trail Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Grassy park in residential area with winding footpaths, benches & a fenced-off dog area.
What runners say about Military Trail Park
“Unfortunately not all dog owners clean up after their pets.”
“The park outside of the dog area is also very appealing with benches l, a variety of trees for shade and walking paths.”
“I love that its dog friendly and quiet, good for exercising”
“It's such a wonderful little dog park! People come to walk and get exercise!”
During the Seminole Wars the United States army attempted to relocate the Seminoles under The Indian Removal Act, signed into law on May 28, 1830. All Native Americans were to be removed to Federal lands west of the Mississippi.
Small park but good enough for the dogs to run and get their exercise done! Lots of squirrels so they go crazy most of the times. Parking is easy on the street. It is all light up at night.
This park offers walking/jogging trails and is located in a smaller Miami Shores neighborhood. It also has a fenced-in dog park that was built about 5 years ago. There are park benches and tables. There are mature trees that offer shaded areas. It is a nice quiet smaller park for the neighbors.
Great park for doing a bit of light exercise, but even better for walking dogs. There's a separate fenced in play area for small and larger dogs. Very nice! The water fountain has a dog water fountain too! 👍🏼
