Confirmed from Millbrae Spur Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Whether you're looking for a brisk walk or a leisurely stroll, this trail is perfect. During the daytime, it buzzes with activity: you'll see people on the adjacent athletic fields, other walkers enjoying the path, and even those working out or simply relaxing on a bench, sharing a meal or conversation.

★★★★★ — Athanasios , Jun 2025

This path was originally proposed as a link between highways 101 and 280. The city residents protested and 380 was built instead. It is not continuous, you need to traverse three blocks on sidewalks, but it is wide, paved, and has some elevation changes. There are periodic benches and exercise equipment.

★★★★☆ — Randy , Nov 2016

Good for a short little walk, it doesn't go very far. There are usually a lot of weeds though, and those should be cut.

★★★★☆ — The , Jun 2017

Great local hike. It's a paved trail with workout station apparatuses along the way..

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
