We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Miller-Post Nature Reserve yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Miller-Post Nature Reserve
“The mountains peaking through the clouds at sunrise along with the beautiful wildlife make this place a tiny slice of heaven!”
Such a beautiful nature reserve right across from the Washington Fairgrounds. Parking is actually in the grass lot at the fairgrounds. There are several trails, ranging from roughly a half-mile to one mile. The quarry trail is wonderful, looping around a large picturesque bluff.
Very nice place to walk! Spring is just starting and there's some flowers starting to pop up.
The mountains peaking through the clouds at sunrise along with the beautiful wildlife make this place a tiny slice of heaven! Jk.. The sun sets over an industrial plant and the trail is not well maintained.
This is a nice, short hike with many loops and trails. Some nice views but mostly woods, hence the 4 stars. Close to downtown Washington with lots of restaurants, a plus, and also close to a very nice lake with another paved trail around it. Could spend a few hours here easily and get some good cardio!
