My partner and I checked out the Schulze Nature Preserve today, and after a minute of figuring out where it was... were quite pleasantly surprised! First of all, in order to find it, just go past Frick's and park in the gravel lot all the way at the end; once there, the sign will be more visible.
This was a beautiful place, but very confusing to get to. Yes, you do turn on Frick Road, but just drive on straight past the factory building to the bottom of the hill. Apparently the lot is for workers, and trail parking is by the sign.
It was a nice shaded nature walk with the kids. It was well marked. I did send the kids to clear the spider webs from the path so I wasn't getting them in my face 😂 There were a couple obstacles of trees that we were able to get around but there was one spot on the red trail that we were unable to pass so we had to…
Very nice hiking trail's, great for the whole family. No public restrooms, but a little gravel parking lot. Two different trails a couple of good slopes on the longer one and some really neat little dry creek crossings. They are newer trails so please help keep them looking good.
