We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Mineola Nature Preserve yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Mineola Nature Preserve
“A plus for us was a couple miles down the trail was a port a potty, and it was very clean.”
“Great park for kids, beautiful scenery, Nice Pavillion and fairly clean bathrooms.”
If you’re looking for a peaceful nature walk, Mineola Nature Preserve is the place—unless you make the mistake of packing a ham sandwich, as I did. I was about ten minutes into my stroll when a rogue murder of crows (yes, that’s what it’s called, and yes, they were out for BLOOD—or at least my lunch) started tailing…
Beautiful trail with lots of wildlife. Watch out for gators. We stayed on the main trail, it's a long straight path. There are lots of side trails to go exploring. With this being our first time we didn't venture to far of the path. There is a huge playground and a pond to go fishing.
Clean bathrooms with soap! Well kept gardens, ponds, and playground. My kids and I enjoy walking, exploring nature, and fishing here. Beware of alligators - we came across one on a walk and gave it plenty of space. It was neat seeing one in nature though! Thankful for this peaceful space. 🤍
I'm sorry not able to rate this park since I just went there to meet someone but I can see that it has easy access is dog friendly and a great place for a nature walk or engage in some out door sports
